We developed this 4-bed, 3-bath property in the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, within the green belt. Planning restrictions on this site required the front of the house to be of traditional design. The interior is inspired by penthouse apartments and features six metre ceiling height with a massive roof light casting daylight into the atrium and living area. The rear features a dramatically sloping catslide roof that helps to achieve loft-style living for the owners.

It was built to meet the toughest ecological standards. The house delivers energy efficiency through airtightness and insulation and high-performance glazing, along with renewable technologies such as photovoltaic panels, mechanical ventilation and heat recovery system, a 5,000-litre rainwater harvesting tank, an air-source heat pump and underfloor heating.
